Our History doesn't begin with Barrio Barista, it begins in the late 60's with my fathers first venture, De Hoyos Meat Market. After a successful 17 years, De Hoyos Meat Market closed, yet the property and the vision for building community stayed in the family. I would take care of my father in his later years, and after 98 years my father, Jose De Hoyos passed. With these changes we decided as a family to incorporate our passion with coffee and our love for the west side to do the unthinkable, open up a coffeehouse. Open since February 2014, we strive to serve our community in a unique way, and are grateful for the support we receive daily. Here, we offer a second home unlike any other with culture and coffee roasting fresh every morning, and some tasty homecooked creations too. We hope to see you soon at your local, neighborhood coffeehouse. Gracias!
